City of Everett Bonfire Celebration

Mayor Carlo DeMaria and the City of Everett invite you to join them and continue to ring in the New Year, on Saturday, January 12th from 4-6PM at Seven Acres Park, for the City's Annual Bonfire Celebration. We will be torching all of the discarded Christmas trees with a huge bonfire, overseen by our own Everett Fire Department. There will be Music . Food . Hot drinks and entertainment, with Fire Dancers and a Trackless Train to take you on a ride around the bonfire spectacle! So come on down to Seven Acres Park and warm up with some friends and enjoy this festive event!

Everett's Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

Everett is such a strong community filled with compassionate and caring people and it really shows during the holiday season. Every year City officials, businesses, and residents alike join together to celebrate Everett’s Tree Lighting Ceremony. The Mayor would like to once again invite everyone to this amazing event on November 30th to enjoy pictures with Santa, sleigh rides, a train ride down Norwood Street, an inflatable snow globe to take pictures in, a giant inflatable winter themed slide, and much more!

The Lights Are On!

The last of the cranes on the Encore Boston Harbor site have been taken down, and now the focus of the work has moved inside to the finishes in the rooms and lobby areas.

Greg John, of Encore, said they took down the last of the cranes last week, and it was a signal for work to proceed inside. Cranes have been on site since August 2016, with as many as 16 cranes on site at one time. With the structure topping off early last summer, and the bronze glass curtain now completed, there was no longer any need for cranes on site.

Encore Boston Harbor Traffic Update for week of August 27, 2018

All work locations and durations are subject to weather.
Sullivan Square

Road work will continue during the week at the Sullivan Square rotary.

  • Work will include traffic signal installation.
  • The work will require sequenced lane shifts along with some closing of lanes during off-peak hours. 

Work will continue on D Street and Spice Street.
