Small Business Wage and Tax Statement Forms

A photograph of tax forms.

Small businesses should get their blank Wage and Tax Statements forms early

Don’t wait until the last minute to get blank Forms W-2, W-3 or 1099. The demand for paper tax products is declining because of an increase in e-filing and the availability of products online. Due to the decreased demand and printing and shipping costs, the IRS will no longer stock Forms W-2, W-3 and 1099 in Taxpayer Assistance Centers. The forms, which are used by small business owners, can be ordered online or by telephone and mailed directly to the taxpayer’s home or business address.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) has started a new transit study you may have heard of called the Everett Transit Action Plan. The Plan is looking at Everett’s lack of direct access to rapid transit, commuter rail, and bus service, and will develop a plan to improve the City’s local connections to public transportation in the greater Boston area. We recently hosted a community open house on November 16 at the Connolly Center where we heard a lot of helpful feedback from residents and workers of Everett.

Kiwanis Seal

Kiwanis fundraises to help children in need, with its’ generous membership and friends donating $25 gift cards to be gifted to Everett teens in the age group of 13 – 16 years old.  The Club focuses on this age group as The Salvation army provides for children up to 12 years old.

Last year Everett Kiwanis raised $3525.00, which meant every identified teen with need, 141 total, received a $25 gift card.

The Kiwanis Club’s main focus is helping children, and this effective giving is what the Club endeavors to do more and more of each year.
