SCI is searching for someone who wants to give back to Everett. We are looking to fill a Volunteer Outreach Coordinator service position based in Everett through our SCI AmeriCorps program! Accepted candidates will complete 1700 hours of service over 10 months from September 2019 to June 2020.

Scholar Athletes Returns

Scholar Athletes

When Everett High School begins classes on September 4th, Scholar Athletes (SA) will welcome hundreds of new and returning Zone members back into the Zone, a unique learning space designed to help athletes and aspiring athletes achieve academic and athletic goals. Activities such as We Are Fit (pictured) will offer health & wellness programming and academic support that is open to all Everett High School students. Last year, the Zone was home to more than 200 youth, and SA program staff expect to engage even more Zone members this year!

Culinary Arts Training

NECAT Students

NECAT (New England Culinary Arts Training) is a tuition-free, 16-week job training program with locations in Boston and Everett. The program equips students with culinary skills, social-emotional development and career-readiness for success and long-term financial stability. Participants receive hands-on lessons, real-world experience, resume and interview skills and introductions to employers like Encore Boston Harbor, Boston Park Plaza, Whole Foods, Legal Sea Foods, Sodexo and more. Graduates can earn up to $23 right out of the program!

City of Everett and Mayor DeMaria Announce Village Fest

Mayor Carlo DeMaria and the City of Everett are partnering with Nightshift Brewing and Shortpath Distillery for a new and exciting event. "Village Fest" will include an array of popular food trucks, a live music stage, and locally crafted beer and spirits.
